  • Dr Colin Holloway MBBS, DRCOG, DTM&H, FRACGP

Dr Colin Holloway is a very experienced General Practitioner that has practiced locally for many years.  Dr Holloway is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and also has additional qualifications in Obstetrics, and Tropical Medicine.  Dr Holloway maintains a special sub-specialist interest in hormone treatments, also known as Bio-identical hormones.  Dr Holloway has used this treatment for over 20 years and has treated nearly 4500 patients.  Dr Holloway is a published author of various books and has been a sought-after International Speaker at numerous conferences around the world.

  • Dr Daniel Hourigan MBBS, B.Pharm, DipChildHealth, FRACGP

Dr Daniel Hourigan is a General Practitioner and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with a special interest in paediatrics and hormone treatments.  With a previous background in Pharmacy from the University of Queensland, Dr Hourigan went on to study Medicine at the University of Sydney, before returning to Brisbane where he grew up, to obtain his Fellowship in General Practice and further qualifications in Children’s Health. Dr Hourigan provides general practice services as well as sub-specialised practice in hormonal therapies.

  • Dr Madhu Lakshmaiah MBBS, DFSRH, MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr Madhu Lakshmaiah is a General Practitioner trained and qualified in the United Kingdom where he practiced for many years before moving to Australia with his young family.  Dr Lakshmaiah is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  Dr Lakshmaiah has further interests and qualifications in sexual and reproductive health and is skilled in sub-dermal contraceptive implant techniques.

  • Dr Marshall Godsall MBBS, FACRRM

Dr Marshall Godsall has over 35 years of experience as a General Practitioner and Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.  Having served for many years in rural General Practice, Dr Godsall provides a wealth of experience and skills, and has been the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of his expert clinical practice.  His clinical practice was the recipient of an AGPAL Award in 2013.  He has also been the recipient of the RDAQ title of “Icon of the Bush” in 2015 and a GPSA award in 2015.  Dr Godsall is also heavily involved in clinical teaching as well as research.  He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at both James Cook University and the University of Queensland. Dr Godsall has special interests in the management of COPDENT diseasechronic disease and aged care.

  • Dr Matthew Allen MB ChB, DipO&G, FMFACCS, FRACGP

Dr Matthew Allen is an experienced General Practitioner and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  Dr Allen  provides significant Emergency and GP experience from both New Zealand and Australia.  Dr Allen has interests in General Practice, Skin Cancer Medicine, Cosmetic Surgery and Emergency Medicine.  As a former Director of Emergency Medicine at Taranaki Base Hospital NZ, Dr Allen is one of the lead practitioners of the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.

  • Dr Michael Donnelly MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM

Dr Michael Donnelly is an experienced General Practitioner and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, as well as a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.  Dr Donnelly has practiced in the local area for many years and was voted by the community in 2015 as one of Moreton’s ‘Most Loved Doctors’.  Dr Donnelly maintains an interest in a diverse range of clinical areas including chronic disease and clinical hypnosis.

  • Dr Rachael Pillay MBChB (Hons), LRCP, BAO, BSc, FRACGP

Dr Rachael Pillay is a Genearl Practitioner with an interest in skin cancer medicine and surgical proceduresENT procedures, and emergency medicine.  Dr Pillay is a published author and is currently completing further research at the University of Queensland in a Masters of Philosophy investigating the establishment of a patient xenotransplant model of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Dr Pillay is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is a valued member of the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.

  • Dr Samantha McClean BSc (Hons), MBBS, DipChildHealth, DipO&G, DipFPM, MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr Samantha McClean is a senior General Practitioner, Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  Dr McClean has an interest in emergency medicine and further qualifications in child health, obstetrics & gynaecology and family planning medicine.  Having initially trained in the United Kingdom, Dr McClean moved to Australia in 2008 and joined a rural practice in Muswellbrook, NSW where she managed a broad range of general practice conditions as well as emergency medicine, including admission rights at the Muswellbrook General Hospital.  Since 2017, Dr McClean has moved to Queensland and provides services at the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.

  • Dr Sonali Goonewardene MD, FRACGP

Dr Sonali Goonewardene is a General Practitioner with an interest in skin cancer medicine, women’s health and the management of chronic disease.  Dr Goonewardene specialises in longer consultations and provides a comprehensive approach to health care that is intently focused on achieving long term health outcomes and benefits.  Dr Goonewardene completed her specialist training in Albury, New South Wales, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

  • Dr Stiaan (Christiaan) Mostert MBChB, DipPEC, FACRRM

Dr Stiaan Mostert is an experienced General Practitioner and Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.  Dr Mostert is a Senior Medical Officer in the Emergency Department of the Caloundra Hospital and provides significant support to the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.  Dr Mostert has additional interests in paediatrics and general practice.

 

ACUTE CARE DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONERS

  • Dr Matthew Allen MB ChB, DipO&G, FMFACCS, FRACGP

Dr Matthew Allen provides significant Emergency Medicine experience from both New Zealand and Australia.  Dr Allen is skilled in resuscitation, difficult intubation, the placement of CVP and arterial lines and a range of other emergency procedures.  Dr Allen is also skilled in emergency point-of-care ultrasound for regional anaesthesia, vascular access and musculoskeletal injections.  As a former Director of Emergency Medicine at Taranaki Base Hospital NZ, and Senior Medical Officer in the Emergency Departments of Gladstone Hospital, Dr Allen is one of the lead practitioners of the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.

  • Dr Rachael Pillay MBChB (Hons), LRCP, BAO, BSc, FRACGP

Dr Rachael Pillay is a skilled practitioner in Emergency Medicine, with further studies in the Clinical Emergency Management Program, Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient and the Emergency Management of Severe Trauma conducted by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Pillay provides regular support to the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.

  • Dr Samantha McClean BSc (Hons), MBBS, DipChildHealth, DipO&G, DipFPM, MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr Samantha McClean is an experienced practitioner in Emergency Medicine, having worked for 8 years as a Visiting Medical Officer to the Muswellbrook General Hospital where she managed a busy emergency department with frequent serious medical and trauma presentations, as well as ward in-patients within the hospital.

  • Dr Stiaan (Christiaan) Mostert MBChB, DipPEC, FACRRM

Dr Stiaan Mostert is a Senior Medical Officer in the Emergency Department of the Caloundra Hospital and has also worked as a senior medical officer in emergency, anaesthetics and intensive care at Mount Isa Base Hospital and as a senior medical officer in emergency at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Base Hospitals. Dr Mostert is skilled in a broad range of emergency procedures and provides significant support to the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.

  • Dr Alice McNab BSc, MBBS, GradCertPublicHealth, FRACGP

Dr Alice McNab provides casual shift coverage at the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.  Dr McNab grew up and attended school locally in Caboolture before completing Medicine at Flinders University.  Dr McNab has significant emergency experience having practiced for 6 years as a rural general practitioner in Inglewood, before returning to the area to continue her practice.

  • Dr John Ella MBBS, FRACGP

Dr John Ella provides casual shift coverage at the Caboolture Super Clinic Acute Care Unit.  Dr Ella is an experienced doctor in emergency medicine and performs regular work with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, where he is required to maintain skills in anaesthetics, intensive care and advanced life support.

 

SPECIALIST PRACTITIONERS

  • Dr Kenneth Loon MBBS, B.Pharm (Hons), FRACS, CSSANZ (member) (Executive Director – Caboolture Super Clinic / Specialist Colorectal & General Surgeon)

Dr Kenneth Loon is a specialist Colorectal & General Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  Dr Loon studied Medicine at the University of Queensland before completing Advanced General Surgical Training at the Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals.  Dr Loon went on to complete further sub-specialist Fellowships in Colorectal Surgery at the Alfred and Cabrini Hospitals in Melbourne, the Austin Hospital in Melbourne and the Westmead Hospital in Sydney.  Dr Loon currently practices as a Consultant Surgeon in Brisbane/Gold Coast and regularly consults at the Caboolture Super Clinic in the areas of Colorectal and General Surgery.  Dr Loon is a member of the Board of Directors at the Caboolture Super Clinic, and has been heavily involved in the development of the Super Clinic, its operations, and its partnerships with local service providers.  Dr Loon also maintains an interest in medical education and training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and Griffith University, and a Director of and Senior Lecturer at the METC Institute.  Dr Loon is a published author and is a recipient of the General Surgeons Group, Best Clinical Research Prize, and a Travelling Fellowship Grant for studies at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN USA.

  • Dr Dushan Alponsu MBBS, MD Psychiatry, FRANZCP, IFAPA (Specialist Psychiatrist) 

Dr Dushan Alponsu is a specialist Psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, American Psychiatric Association, and Member of the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists.  Dr Alponsu provides assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental disorders and has special interests in mood & anxiety disorders, electroconvulsive therapy and indigenous health.

  • Dr Robert Edwards MBBS, FRACP, FCCP (Specialist Respiratory Physician)

Dr Robert Edwards  is a very experienced, specialist Respiratory (Thoracic) Medicine and Sleep Medicine Physician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians.  Dr Edwards has special interests in thoracic and sleep medicine and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer.  Dr Edwards completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland and underwent his post-graduate training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and the Prince Charles Hospital.  Dr Edwards consults at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane and in the Caboolture Super Clinic.

  • Dr Elaheh Nemati MBBS, FRACP (Paediatrics) (Specialist Paediatrician)

Dr Elaheh Nemati is a specialist Paediatrician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.  Dr Nemati trained at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and completed advanced training in Paediatrics in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as General Paediatrics at the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Townsville Hospitals.  Dr Nemati has special interests in General Paediatrics as well as Behavioural and Developmental Paediatrics.  Dr Nemati provides a much needed service to the local community and is a valuable member of the Caboolture Super Clinic’s integrated, health care team.

  • Dr Philip Scarlett MBBS, FRCS, FRACS (Specialist General Surgeon)

Dr Philip Scarlett is a very experienced General Surgeon with a special interest in Skin Cancer Surgery.  Dr Scarlett completed his training at the University of Sydney in 1980 before taking up appointments in various public hospitals in Brisbane and Caboolture, with extensive work and experience in the public hospital system.  Dr Scarlett currently consults at Strathpine Surgical, and in the Caboolture Super Clinic – Skin Cancer Clinic.  Dr Scarlett operates at Caboolture Private Hospital.

 

ALLIED HEALTH

  • Julie Long, B.Hlth Sci (Nut & Diets) Hons (Dietitian & Nutritionist)

Julie completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics with Honours and is a practicing accredited dietitian and nutritionist.  Julie conducts nutritional assessments, interventions and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of her patient’s nutritional status.  Julie is skilled in evaluating and modifying patient’s diets to meet their nutritional needs and/or disease states, and importantly is able to provide palatable and sustainable meal plans for long term success.  Julie uses relevant evidence-based dietary guidelines, health position statements, nutritional databases and other evidence-based nutritional resources to underpin dietetic education and interventions.

  • Karl Petzke, B.Education, Grad Dip Exercise & Sports Nutrition (Personal Trainer & Nutritionist)

Karl is a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist and works at the Caboolture Super Clinic Gym, offering personal training sessions as well as group classes.  Karl is passionate about healthy living, and is heavily into sports, gymming and swimming.  Karl helps clients achieve their maximum potential through exercise, healthy living and good nutrition.

  • Shaun Hopkins, B.Sci (Podiatrist)

Shaun is an experienced Podiatrist who has been practicing since 2001.  Shaun enjoys making a difference in people’s lives with exemplary podiatric care.  Shaun delivers professional care with empathy and compassion to a broad spectrum of patients.  Services include diabetic assessments, paediatric podiatry, ulceration / wound care, biomechanics, orthotic therapy and nail surgery.

  • Terrence Rundell BSc(Psychology), Grad Dip Psychology, Post Grad Dip Psychology (Psychologist)

Terry is a skilled Psychologist with additional graduate and post-graduate qualifications.  Terry manages GP-referred adult and paediatric patients and is skilled in the management of depression, anxiety and neuro-developmental disorders.

  • Andrew Simpson, Bachelor of Business/Exercise Science (Exercise Physiologist)

Andrew completed a Bachelor of Business/Exercise Science Degree in 2005.  Since then, he has traveled through Europe and worked in hospitals all over England as a Cardiac Physiologist.  Andrew returned to specialize in muscular skeletal rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation and chronic disease management.

  • Nicolas Mascali Bachelor of Exercise and Movement Science, Master of Physiotherapy (Physiotherapist)

Nicolas completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Movement Science in 2011 and a Master of Physiotherapy Studies in 2013 and now offers comprehensive physiotherapy services at Caboolture Super Clinic. Since graduation, Nicolas has worked in the aged care sector where he focused on pain management and rehabilitation. Prior to working as a Physiotherapist, Nicolas spent five years operating his own personal training business, has also worked for several years as a tutor in Resistance Training, Anatomy and Biomechanics. His personal interests include powerlifting, mountain biking and cooking.
